Liability Loss Adjuster - Remote - Up to £60,000
A leading insurance services business is seeking an experienced Liability Loss Adjuster to join its growing Casualty team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Casualty Adjuster or investigator looking for a fresh challenge, with the opportunity to develop their technical skills and progress within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The role involves managing a varied caseload of casualty claims, investigating liability, assessing quantum and policy indemnity, and determining the most appropriate strategy to bring each claim to a successful conclusion.
The Role
- Managing a caseload of casualty claims from investigation through to resolution
- Liaising with insurers, policyholders, brokers and other relevant stakeholders
- Investigating claims through both field-based and desktop enquiries
- Gathering and reviewing evidence and relevant documentation
- Preparing detailed preliminary reports covering policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum and tactics
- Determining appropriate strategies for the resolution of claims
- Defending or negotiating settlements within agreed authority limits
- Corresponding professionally with all parties to proactively progress claims
- Handling claims in accordance with client requirements and documented procedures
- Maintaining accurate and appropriate reserves through regular review

The Candidate
- Experience within Casualty, Liability or Claims Investigation
- Strong understanding of liability claims and investigation processes
- Ability to assess evidence, liability, quantum and policy indemnity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Commercial and proactive approach to claims handling and resolution
- Strong attention to detail and accurate report writing skills
- Ability to work effectively within agreed authority levels and procedures
- Willingness to travel when required as part of the role
- Ambitious, adaptable and keen to develop technical knowledge and expertise
