At The Grand, York, our Nights Team play a vital role in ensuring every guest enjoys a safe, seamless and memorable stay. As our Loss Prevention Agent, you'll play a key role in protecting our guests, colleagues and hotel while delivering the exceptional service our guests expect.

What You Will Do In This Splendid Role:

Our Nights Team keeps The Grand, York running while the rest of the city sleeps. As our Loss Prevention Agent, you'll help create a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our guests and colleagues. Here's what you'll be up to:

  • Conduct regular security patrols and fire walks, responding promptly to incidents, emergencies and guest concerns while ensuring the safety and security of the hotel at all times.
  • Support the Night Manager and Front Office team by welcoming guests, assisting with arrivals and departures, delivering guest requests and providing exceptional service throughout the night.
  • Carry out routine property inspections and basic maintenance tasks, identifying and resolving minor issues to ensure the hotel remains safe, compliant and well presented.
  • Protect the hotel's assets by monitoring access, completing accurate incident reports and ensuring all health, safety, fire and security procedures are followed.
  • Work collaboratively across departments, providing operational support wherever needed to ensure the hotel runs smoothly and guests receive an outstanding overnight experience.
