Job Description
Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Execute proactive loss prevention and asset recovery programs throughout the region, ensuring the protection of CHEP proprietary information and intellectual property.
- Apply data analysis, audits, investigations, and training programs to minimize loss and maximize asset control.
- Lead fraud prevention efforts by monitoring, investigating, and prosecuting both internal and external fraud cases to ensure asset security and compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with Operations, Transportation, Customer Service, and other functions to mitigate loss exposure and enhance asset protection across multiple departments.
- Collect, analyze, and categorize data related to criminal activities, maintaining a comprehensive database for future investigations and asset recovery efforts.
- Conduct investigations into potential threats from external operatives or competitors attempting to exploit business practices, focusing on internet security, social media monitoring, and mitigating criminal enterprises.

As a loss prevention executive, you’ll have a commercially focused role, investigating the misuse, unmonitored use, and recovery of CHEP pallets across our customer networks. You’ll combine field intelligence, data analysis, and on-site investigations to identify pallet losses, unauthorized storage, usage, and potential breaches of company policies or intellectual property.
Your work will include analyzing, investigating, and tracing pallet movements through internal systems; researching customer activity; gathering evidence, and engaging directly with businesses to recover assets. The role requires strong investigative skills, commercial awareness, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to interpret data to identify sources of pallet loss, misuse, or unauthorized pallet trading.

Key Accountabilities:
- Executes loss prevention related solutions through a combination of applications including data analysis, audits, training programs, and investigations. Works with cross-functional groups across multiple levels and departments to ensure seamless, integrated solutions.
- Implements and participates in the design of programs designed to reduce loss and control CHEP commodity held by third party entities.
- Monitors fraud prevention measures and executes/leads fraud investigations/prosecutions, both internal and external.
- Coordinates with Operations, Transportation, Customer Service, and other functions to minimize loss exposure and maximize loss protection and control.
- Gathers information and data from all forms of criminal and commercial activity related to CHEP property.
- A strong command of the local law and regulations.
- Possesses expert written communication skills and strong communication skills overall and can build and maintain a culture of trust and respect.
- Works with a minimum amount of supervision and can prioritize multiple tasks in a proactive manner. Understands the tools and processes needed to meet larger strategic initiatives.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for commodity and Intellectual Property protection to drive all loss prevention and loss control initiatives within the island of Ireland.
Experience needed:
- Conducting complex investigations and evidence preparation for case building.
- Proven experience in managing and directing individuals during security related incidents and difficult customer or field service issues.
- Working with Law Enforcement where necessary to build effective relationships.
- Knowledge of a risk assessment methodology.
- Commercial aptitude.
- Law Enforcement experience gained in the Police or Military or Security Services desirable.
- Supply chain knowledge desirable.

Skills & Knowledge:
- A strong knowledge of the local civil and criminal law.
- Good communicator, interpersonal ability. Presentation Skills, public speaking.
- Ability to identify problems, collect information and offering strategic solutions.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodology.
- Basic understanding of internet security and social media investigations.
- Microsoft 360 & Digital tools user, data mining user a plus.
Qualifications:
- Industry recognized qualifications. (Certified Safety & Security training, TAPA, Logistic/Retail Loss Prevention studies, Criminology, Private Investigator, Security Management, Police or Military training).
