Role Purpose
The Regional Security Manager is responsible for leading all shrink-reduction, security, and risk-management activity within their area of responsibility. This experienced role focuses on shrink reduction, investigations, security compliance, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership to protect company assets and ensure a safe, legally compliant environment. The Regional Security Manager acts as the primary subject-matter expert for loss prevention strategy, risk assessment, and security in their area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the shrink-reduction plans aligned to business priorities, including theft prevention, operational compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Lead high-level internal and external theft investigations, fraud cases, ORC activity, and policy breaches and be the subject matter expert for store operations and P&C.
- Review and analyse shrink KPIs, exception reports, and risk indicators to identify trends and vulnerabilities within their area of responsibility.
- Lead in response to major incidents, robberies, threats, or safety concerns within their area of responsibility and support the wider UK/Ireland estate where needed.
- Build strong relationships with police, ORC units, and external agencies to support prosecutions and intelligence sharing.
- Work closely with the Crime Hub to link offenders and secure successful prosecution.
- Deliver training to store teams on theft indicators, fraud prevention, SCO monitoring, and safety protocols.
- Manage day to day Security Operations with our third-party providers to ensure SLAs and SOPs are met.
- Review the CCTV, Alarm, and other physical security solutions for new and relocation stores.
- Conduct security risk assessments to ensure the retail estate is compliant and secure.
- Build effective working relationships with operational teams to encourage accountability around loss prevention and general risk.
- Work closely with P&C, Finance, EHS and Compliance to embed loss prevention into everyday store processes.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- 3–5+ years’ experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or retail security.
- Strong knowledge of investigations, interviewing techniques, and evidence handling.
- Proven ability to analyse shrink data, identify trends, and implement solutions.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to travel across multiple sites and respond to incidents when required.
- Experience managing security operations (guarding).
- Experience working with ORC units, civil recovery, or multi-agency partnerships.
- Working knowledge of PACE and PEACE models.

Desirable
- Security Diploma or similar.
- WZ Interviewing Techniques Level 1-2 or similar.
- Member of professional body such as Security Institute.
- Loss Prevention experience in Supply Chain/Logistics.
