About the Role
In this role, you will oversee the engineering team at Skyscanner, a vibrant tech company with 1,600 employees. Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Master's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
- 5+ years in software engineering
- 3+ years in a leadership role within engineering
- Relevant certifications such as Scrum Master or PMP preferred
- Experience with senior-level architectural decisions for 2+ years
- Proficient in Agile methodologies
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Skilled in continuous integration and deployment tools
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Successfully led engineering teams through major product launches
- Achieved measurable increases in team productivity through process improvements
