Senior SEND Practitioner - January Start
Location: Greenford, West London
Pay: £206-£268 per day PAYE
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

A school in Greenford is looking for an experienced Senior SEND Practitioner to join its team from January, working with children and young people who require additional support to access education successfully.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants their next position to develop both their SEND expertise and their professional confidence.

You'll Support Pupils Whose Needs May Include
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- SEMH
- Communication Needs
- Learning Difficulties
- Sensory Needs
- Emotional Regulation Difficulties
You'll be expected to look beyond the immediate challenge and consider what an individual pupil needs to make sustainable progress.
Your Responsibilities May Include
- Providing targeted support to individual pupils and small groups.
- Planning and delivering SEND interventions.
- Supporting pupils to work towards individual and EHCP outcomes.
- Adapting approaches around different learning and communication needs.
- Developing strategies to support emotional regulation.
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to engagement and participation.
- Encouraging independence, resilience and confidence.
- Monitoring progress and identifying where approaches need to change.
- Contributing observations and recommendations to the wider team.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and other professionals.
- Helping maintain consistent approaches to SEND support across the setting.
- Taking increasing responsibility for the quality and impact of the support you provide.

You'll Need To
- Understand that effective SEND support starts with the individual pupil.
- Be confident adapting your approach when something isn't working.
- Build appropriate and trusting relationships with young people.
- Remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and other professionals.
- Take responsibility for your own professional development.
- Be willing to learn from colleagues while contributing your own experience.
- Have genuine ambitions to develop within education or SEND.
