This is an entry-level role with no prior experience required – however, previous experience in LPG or a marine commercial/operational role would be advantageous.
About the Role
As an Operator at Poten & Partners, you will be trained to operate a portfolio of VLGC voyages and LPG trades which have been brokered by our freight and product teams. Experience as a marine operator or in the LPG sector is welcomed but is not required. After a training period, the role will involve regular communication with international and domestic clients and key responsibilities will include ensuring contractual deadlines are met for each fixture, reviewing and drafting import/export documentation and letters of indemnity, calculation of freight costs, and assisting with the negotiation of claims.

What We Are Looking For
- Educated to degree level
- A good eye for detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- A person who enjoys continuous learning
- Works well under pressure and in a fast-moving business environment
- Capable of interacting easily, comfortably, and respectfully with clients and colleagues from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds
- Ability to speak and write fluently in English
- The candidate will also need to be eligible to live and work in the UK.
