LSA Tutor (Lecturer) – varying roles available
Fixed term, part time – duration and hours depend on tutoring role, hours will vary week on week to allow for flexibility
Based London (Dalston, E8) with flexibility to work remotely
Salary based on an FTE of £45,000 – will be prorated for the length of the contract and working hours
Roles available:
- Critical Practice Tutor – 9 months, 180 hours total (actual £4,451)
- Design History Tutor – 5 months, 100 hours total (actual £2,473)
- Design Studio Tutor – 10 months, 200 hours total (actual £4,946)
- Design Tectonic Tutor – 9 months, 180 hours total (actual £4,451)
You will bring your architectural expertise, critical insight and passion for student development to help shape the next generation of architects. Working at the heart of The London School of Architecture, which is part of the University of the Built Environment, you will inspire students through engaging workshops, tutorials and reviews, challenge them to think critically, and provide the guidance and support they need to succeed. Your contribution will directly enhance the student experience, strengthen teaching quality and help develop confident, reflective and highly employable professionals who will make a positive impact on the built environment.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:
- Deliver engaging workshops, tutorials and reviews.
- Provide timely formative and summative feedback to support student development, achievement and progression.
- Monitor student engagement and wellbeing.
- Contribute to assessment, marking and moderation processes.
- Collaborate with Programme and Module Leaders to maintain high-quality module delivery.
Our main requirements:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in a relevant subject.
- Experience in subject delivery, tutoring or mentorship or relevant experience in industry – see the job specification for each role on our recruitment site for specifics.
- Excellent verbal and visual communication skills.
