Early Years Practitioner – Lunch Cover Role

Bright Horizons Bracknell Day Nursery and Pre-School

Key Details

  • Salary: £12.99 to £15.88 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • Location: Bracknell, Wokingham Road
  • Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM (5 days a week, lunch cover shift)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

As an Early Years Practitioner, your role will include:

  • Designing and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities to stimulate children’s learning and development.
  • Ensuring safety and wellbeing by adhering to EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) guidelines and safeguarding policies.
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support a positive learning environment.
  • Reflecting and documenting children’s progress to track achievements and adapt teaching methods.

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • A fully qualified Level 3 or higher in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
  • A passion for creating fun, inclusive environments that support young children’s growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with families and colleagues.
  • Experience or willingness to adapt to a fast-paced, child-led care setting.
