Arthur Terry School
The Arthur Terry School is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable Lunchtime Supervisors to join our supportive and welcoming team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is committed to helping create a safe, positive and enjoyable lunchtime environment. The role is 11.25 hours per week, working over 5 days. The successful candidates will play an important role in supervising students, promoting positive behaviour and supporting their wellbeing during the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising students during lunchtime, including in designated dining, playground and social areas.
- Ensuring students are safe and well cared for throughout the lunchtime period.
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting students to follow the school's expectations.
- Building positive and respectful relationships with students.
- Responding appropriately to student needs, concerns or incidents and reporting these to relevant staff where necessary.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth and effective running of lunchtime arrangements.
- Contributing to a welcoming, inclusive and positive environment for all students.

- Has a calm, patient and approachable manner.
- Can build positive and professional relationships with students.
- Has the confidence to manage student behaviour fairly and consistently.
- Has good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Is reliable, responsible and able to use initiative when responding to situations.
- Is committed to promoting the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all students.
