Brookvale Primary School,
Brookvale Primary School is looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team to work 6.25 hours per week. As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring that our children have a safe, happy and enjoyable lunchtime. You will help to create a positive environment where children can eat, play and socialise, while supporting their wellbeing and encouraging positive behaviour.
About The Role
You will:
- Supervise children during lunchtime, both in the dining area and on the playground.
- Help to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support children to resolve minor disagreements appropriately.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children.
- Support children to develop positive social skills and enjoy their lunchtime.
- Follow the school's safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour procedures.
- Work as part of a supportive team and communicate effectively with colleagues.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children and is committed to their wellbeing.
- Is patient, caring and approachable.
- Can communicate clearly and build positive relationships with children.
- Is confident supporting children to manage their behaviour and resolve minor conflicts.
- Can work calmly and effectively as part of a team.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and keeping children safe.
- Is reliable, responsible and able to use their own initiative.
Previous experience of working with children would be desirable, but full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
