Job Role
Southfields Community Primary School is a warm, welcoming and community focused school set in the heart of Coventry. We are proud of our links to our community and believe passionately in providing the best possible experiences and opportunities for our children and staff.
We are currently seeking to recruit a Supervisory Assistant to join our existing lunchtime team.
About the Role
Our Supervisory Assistants are responsible for supervising children in the dining hall whilst they eat, and for thoroughly cleaning the dining hall during and after the lunchtime service. They are also responsible for supervising and engaging with pupils outside during the lunch break, ensuring a safe environment where their developmental and welfare needs are met.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone:
- Enthusiastic and reliable
- With experience of working with children and managing behaviour
- Who will enhance the children’s enjoyment of lunchtime
- Who will be prepared to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in and around the dining areas
- With good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Recruitment Process
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS, all relevant safeguarding and pre-employment clearances, and the receipt of two satisfactory references.
