Lunchtime Teaching Assistant Location: Beckenham
Salary: Up to £14 per hour + opportunity to earn a performance-related bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:15 am – 2:30 pm

About the Role
As a Lunchtime Teaching Assistant, you’ll support children during lunchtime routines, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience. Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting children with mealtimes, encouraging independence and healthy habits
- Creating and maintaining a calm, nurturing atmosphere during lunch and transitions
- Assisting with indoor and outdoor supervision
- Addressing children’s emotional and comfort needs
- Aligning with safeguarding, health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Collaborating closely with the team to uphold routines
You’ll play a vital role in enhancing children’s daily wellbeing—this is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference.
What We’re Looking For
While prior nursery experience isn’t required (we provide the training), you should demonstrate:
- A genuine interest in working with children
- Friendliness, patience, and support
- Enthusiasm for teamwork and child-centred care
- Reliability and a willingness to learn
- A preference: experience (formal or informal) with children, or basic knowledge of child development/early years
- Most importantly: kindness, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
