Lunchtime Teaching Assistant

Location: Kidbrooke


Essential Information

  • Salary: Up to £14 per hour
  • Bonus: Opportunity to earn a performance-related bonus
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:15 am – 2:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist children during mealtimes, encouraging independence and healthy eating habits
  • Create a calm, nurturing environment for lunch and transition times
  • Supervise children both indoors and outdoors
  • Address children’s emotional needs and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with colleagues to uphold daily routines
  • Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, hygiene, and safety

What We’re Looking For

No prior nursery experience is required—training is provided. We value:

  • A genuine interest in working with children
  • Friendliness, patience, and a supportive attitude
  • Enthusiasm for working as part of a team
  • A reliability and motivation to learn
  • Experience with children (paid, voluntary, or informal) is a plus
  • Desired: Basic understanding of child development or early years education

Most importantly: kindness, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
