LV SWITCHGEAR ENGINEERS – EMERGENCY RESPONSE
SOUTH UK
Location: South of England – high concentration across Central London
Contract: Temporary / Contract
Rota: 4-week on-call rota
Shift: Days & Nights – same daily rate
Team: 4 Engineers required
We’re looking for 4 x Electrical Engineers with strong LV Switchgear and fault-finding experience to provide emergency on-call support across 142 sites throughout the South of the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced electrical engineers who are confident responding to emergency breakdowns and diagnosing LV electrical faults.
🔧 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide emergency LV switchgear call-out support across multiple sites.
- Respond to emergency faults within a 4-hour response requirement.
- Investigate and resolve circuit breaker trips and nuisance tripping.
- Diagnose mains failure and generator changeover issues.
- Investigate power supply interruptions and distribution faults.
- Carry out electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and restoration of service.
- Liaise with site teams and provide technical support during breakdowns.
- Complete detailed service reports following attendance.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant procedures.

✅ WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Qualified / experienced Electrical Engineer.
- Strong practical LV Switchgear experience.
- Proven electrical fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
- Experience with circuit breakers, distribution systems, and electrical supplies.
- Experience dealing with emergency breakdowns or reactive maintenance.
- Comfortable working as part of an on-call emergency response rota.
- Able to cover days and nights as required.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Based within a reasonable travelling distance of the South of England / London.
- Ideally able to demonstrate experience across commercial, industrial, critical infrastructure, or similar environments.
