eRostering Officer
Band 4
Location: Summerfield House, Aberdeen
Vacancy Description:
- Hours: 36 hrs per week.
- Location: Workforce Department, Summerfield House, Aberdeen.
- Contract: Fixed term or secondment, 8 months.
An opportunity has arisen to join the NHS Grampian eRostering Team to support the use and implementation of the Optima system.
The postholder will support the eRostering aspects of the Agenda for Change Non-Pay Reforms. The postholder will be involved in system administration duties, electronic roster configuration, reporting, and other system related tasks, working to strict deadlines at all times. The postholder will work closely with colleagues in the eRostering, Bank and Central Rostering teams as well as staff and managers in service areas.
Candidates should have:

- Be enthusiastic and motivated
- Be able to interact with staff at all levels
The postholder will be working in a small but supportive and dynamic team and must be committed to the delivery of excellence.
The post holder will be required to use Excel, MS Teams and other systems pertinent to the work of the team, this must be coupled with the ability to communicate effectively and pro-actively with all users and stakeholders.
This post is based at Summerfield House, Aberdeen. Team members are currently working on a hybrid basis of working from home and on site so the opportunity is available to participate in this. Depending on service needs, the postholder will be required to undertake duties at various sites across NHS Grampian and hence the ability to travel across sites is essential. Candidates wishing to apply for the post on a secondment basis must gain the approval of their substantive manager prior to applying.
