Equipment Commissioning Manager

Contract: Fixed term 18 months
Secondment: 18 months from existing NHSG post
(Extensions may be required dependant on project delivery, hours of work can be negotiated but not guaranteed, flexible working considered)

Project Overview

The Baird Family Hospital and ANCHOR Centre Project will provide two new facilities.

The Baird will include:

  • Maternity
  • Neonatal
  • Reproductive
  • Breast
  • Gynaecology
  • Theatre
  • Services
  • MRI Suite

The ANCHOR will support:

  • Oncology and haematology ambulatory services
  • Aseptic Pharmacy Suite

The buildings will be delivered by NHS Grampian in partnership with GRAHAM Construction.

Role Description

This is an exciting and challenging role which will include managing and advising upon the equipment procurement budget of £17 million for the Baird Family hospital. You will work closely with stakeholders (clinical, technical, and managerial) to ensure effective planning, coordination, and implementation of the equipment commissioning of both facilities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced NHS/public sector worker with leadership experience.
  • Experience of procurement
  • Ability to multitask, work to deadlines, and work within an agreed budget
  • Aptitude for having well-developed organizational skills and systems in place
  • Proven excellent communications skills
  • Attention to detail is paramount
  • Capable of seeing a task through from inception to completion
  • Experience of analysing data and presenting findings
