NHS Grampian is seeking to recruit a highly experienced and professionally qualified accountant to the role of Assistant Finance Manager to join our Finance Team. This post offers an exciting opportunity to an enthusiastic and motivated individual to become part of a forward-thinking department that delivers a high-quality service to a wide range of stakeholders, while supporting the organisation to meet its statutory obligations.
The successful candidate will join as a senior member of an experienced and supportive team that provides opportunities for peer support, shared learning, professional development and collaborative working.
The Role
The post will provide senior financial management cover for NHS Grampian’s Capital Programme and a defined number of operational service areas. Key responsibilities include:
- Provision of financial related support to a wide range of Capital Projects
- Leading on NHS Grampian’s Asset Register maintenance
- Ensuring monthly and year-end reporting deadlines are met
- Taking a lead role in the provision of forecasts for aligned operational areas
- Provision of line management to the Management Accountant and Assistant Capital Accountant

About You
We are looking for an experienced CCAB qualified professional, with strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills. Public Sector experience, particularly within a Capital Accounting environment is desirable.
