The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at New Look DC. This position is a full time working Monday-Friday from 12:00-20:00

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare delicious food items, strictly following recipes and portion guidelines
  • Support the Chef Supervisor/Chef Manager in crafting main meals and hot dishes
  • Contribute to the creation of special event menus and buffets
  • Set up counters for service periods, maintaining company standards
  • Assist with accurate completion of wastage sheets
  • Help count and record stock and equipment
  • Proactively promote menu upgrades and special offers to customers
  • Ensure full knowledge of dish ingredients to support customers with allergy queries
  • Prepare food in accordance with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
  • Conduct and record temperature checks as required
  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned by the cleaning roster
  • Use chemicals safely and wear appropriate protective equipment
  • Operate and clean equipment according to established procedures
  • Ensure vending areas are fully stocked throughout your shift
