The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Stock Manager to join our Distribution Centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Reporting to the Head of Logistics & Supply Chain, you’ll lead our Stock and Processing teams to deliver a seamless, safe and consistently high-performing operation. You’ll inspire and empower your management team, build an engaged and productive workforce, manage budgets effectively and contribute to EBITDA growth.
As a collaborative and forward-thinking leader, you’ll develop talent, foster a culture that supports New Look’s strategy and use your understanding of the wider competitive landscape to keep the customer at the heart of every decision. Through innovation, strategic insight and strong influencing skills, you’ll play a key role in shaping and future-proofing our business.

What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities)
- Lead Stock, Processing and Quality Control operations, delivering accuracy, availability, productivity and service targets.
- Own stock strategy, space and peak planning, budgets, forecasts and continuous improvement across the Distribution Centre.
- Ensure compliance with service levels, health and safety, bonded and customs warehousing requirements, and company standards.
- Use operational and financial data to improve efficiency, manage costs and resolve complex issues.
- Lead and develop the management team, setting clear KPIs and building an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Build strong relationships across the business, Supply Chain and third-party partners, acting as the key contact for stock and processing.
- Lead and support transformation projects, including process improvements and operational layout design.
Who You Are (Your Skills/Experience)
- You’ll be a commercially minded and inclusive senior leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on logistics expertise. Data-driven and customer-focused, you’ll inspire high-performing teams, champion continuous improvement and build trusted relationships across the business.
- Proven senior management experience within a logistics or distribution environment, ideally leading Stock, Processing or Quality Control functions.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, material flow, operational planning and peak delivery.
- Commercially aware, with experience of budget management, financial performance and KPI delivery.
- Highly analytical, using accurate data and insight to make informed decisions and solve complex problems.
- An engaging and adaptable leader who coaches, empowers and develops high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills with internal and external partners.
- A proactive advocate for change, inclusion and continuous improvement, with LEAN experience desirable.
- Well organised and resilient, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively.
