Senior M365 & Azure Architect / M365 & Azure Technical Architect
Contract Role
Inside IR35 (Competitive Day Rate)
Duration: 7-8 Months initially (likely extensions)
Location: Remote first, with ad-hoc travel to client offices in London
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
The Opportunity
We are supporting a public sector client on the recruitment of two experienced Microsoft Azure Architects for a high-profile, long-term programme within the UK's critical national infrastructure sector. The engagement centres on the design, governance and hands-on delivery of a Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud environment.

We are seeking accomplished architects with a strong hands-on coding background and deep expertise in M365 technologies. Two positions are available, differentiated by seniority: one providing strategic oversight and technical direction, the other a more hands-on, engineering-focused role. Embedded within the wider delivery team.
Senior Azure Architect
- Technical oversight lead, combining hands-on coding with strategic architectural direction.
- Owns the target-state Azure roadmap.
- Governs design standards.
- Provides technical sign-off.
- Leads architecture review points with client stakeholders.

Technical Azure Architect
- Hands-on delivery role.
- Focused on implementation.
- Day-to-day triage and fixes.
- Close engagement with the delivery team.
- Maintaining Intune/Azure configurations to agreed standards.
Essential
- Strong Azure architecture experience with genuine hands-on coding ability.
- M365 and Intune experience at scale - mandatory.
- Comfortable operating in a highly regulated, security-conscious environment.
- Active SC Clearance required - mandatory, non-negotiable.
