About the team

The GSMA Enterprise Architecture Development team is a dedicated group of specialists responsible for building solutions within M365. We manage multiple M365 and Azure environments, ensuring everything runs smoothly for our 800 staff members and thousands of client users on our Membership platform. The team are part of the wider Enterprise Architect team, which also includes Data, AI, and Automation capabilities.

About the role

In this role, you'll be designing, building, and implementing solutions using the latest Microsoft technologies. Joining an in-flight project at an early stage, you'll be a technical expert, influencing solution design and undertaking development within the Microsoft 365 environment.

In addition, you will work closely with the team to make sure other automation projects are delivered with solutions that are aligned with GSMA's goals and meet the needs of our stakeholders. Using your expertise in SharePoint Online, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps), you'll analyse business challenges, gather requirements and turn them into user-friendly solutions that help the GSMA thrive.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop full-stack solutions using current web technologies (e.g. SPFx, React.js, REST APIs) to create robust applications within SharePoint and M365.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate and other tools to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Build custom Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) to streamline processes, creating automated workflows with Power Automate and developing integrations with Azure Logic Apps.
  • Understand, maintain and improve existing PowerShell & Microsoft Graph automation scripts.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyse needs, gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Analyse existing solutions to identify areas for improvement and automate business processes.
  • Work with suppliers to maintain and support new and existing deployed solutions.
  • Customise SharePoint sites, pages, web parts, workflows, lists, libraries, and document management features.

About You

You will have extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying custom SharePoint solutions using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), including web parts, applications and extensions.

You will have proven experience with Power Automate and Power Apps.

You will be proficient in TypeScript, React, JavaScript and modern front-end tooling for SPFx development.

You will have an expert understanding of REST APIs and Microsoft Graph API and the ability to extract data from all areas of the M365 ecosystem (e.g. Exchange, MS Teams), to integrate with SharePoint, Azure objects, databases and other systems.

You will have experience of assessing and implementing the most suitable data storage options to support particular solutions (SP Lists, SQL databases etc).

You will be proficient with PowerShell for M365 and SharePoint automation, including PnP PowerShell.

You will have experience with Azure specifically deploying and configuring logic apps, function apps, managed identities Azure Runbooks, Managed Identities.

You will have experience using version control and CI/CD tools, e.g. GitHub, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.

  • Innovation – the solutions we create for our stakeholders are as varied as the breadth of our business, and you will use your skills and experience to deliver innovative solutions.
