Microsoft 365 Developer / Power Platform Developer
Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire | £50,000 - £60,000 | Full-time, primarily office-based
Want to get closer to the business your development work supports?
See how people use the system. Understand what slows them down. Then make improvements that make their working day easier.
This growing, engineering company is looking for an in-house developer to help take ownership of its heavily customised Dynamics platform.
Developed over the past decade, it connects everything from purchasing and invoice processing to labour recording and finance. It’s central to how the business operates, and you’ll have a direct hand in how it evolves.
What’s in it for you?
- Time to understand the system. A substantial onboarding period to learn how it works and why it was built that way.
- Specialist support. Guidance and mentoring from the longstanding Dynamics partner who helped develop it.
- Visible impact. Work directly with users and decision-makers, seeing the results of your improvements.
- Long-term opportunity. Scope to take on greater ownership and potentially lead the small team as the current systems lead steps back.
- A practical, informal environment. A successful business where relationships matter and you can have a straightforward conversation with the people making decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
