Intro to Career Advising

This required session, held in the first semester of medical school, introduces students to the FSU College of Medicine career advising program and discusses tools and resources available to students.

Careers in Medicine Interactive

This required, hands-on, small group session led by faculty advisors, will walk students through the Careers in Medicine (CiM) website. Students will be asked to complete a CiM assessment and utilize that information to explore specialty information related to their assessment results.

Summer Opportunities Session

This optional session highlights opportunities for M1 students during the summer between their first and second year of medical school. The panel session includes faculty who oversee anatomy TAs, CoM summer research programming, the summer SStride Program, Immokalee Campus Opportunities, and medical mission trips associated with Center on Global Health.

CV Development Session

This required session provides information about the foundational steps of creating a Curriculum Vitae (CV). This session introduces students to staff of the FSU Career Center, who are available to meet with students individually to fine-tune their personal CVs, in preparation for application for scholarships, summer research, shadowing, and other clinical and service opportunities.
