M&A Analyst - Financial Services & Fintech

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious M&A Analyst to join a leading mid-market investment bank with a strong presence across the UK and Europe.

Our client provides high-profile strategic corporate finance advice to businesses across the Financial Services and Fintech sectors, and is looking to add a talented Analyst to a growing, high-performing team with a strong pipeline of live deals.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-value transactions and gain broad exposure across the deal process. You will be closely involved in the origination, analysis, and execution of transactions, working directly with high-profile clients and senior deal teams.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting ongoing mandates and transaction activity, with responsibilities including:

  • Building financial and merger models.
  • Undertaking initial valuations and supporting transaction analysis.
  • Preparing marketing materials, including corporate presentations and information memoranda.
  • Coordinating Q&A and bid processes.
  • Contributing to buy-side, sell-side, and strategic review assignments.
  • Updating valuation analysis and deal materials throughout the transaction process.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • At least 2 years’ M&A execution experience from an investment bank, boutique advisory firm, or Big 4 Corporate Finance team.
  • Outstanding academics, including a minimum 2:1 from a leading red brick university.
  • Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • A logical, methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
