About Capital & Trust
Capital & Trust is the UK’s leading buy-side M&A broker to specialist professional services — accountancy, wealth management, insurance, legal, and TICC. Since 2014, we’ve completed over 850 transactions, working with the most acquisitive buyers in the market.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for driven, articulate professionals ready to build a high-earning career in M&A. You’ll broker the sale of privately-owned firms to PE-backed consolidators, trade acquirers, and institutional investors — managing relationships, running deals, and operating at the sharp end of the transaction.
This is a role where your effort directly drives your earnings, and where the best performers build serious long-term wealth.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct outreach to business owners across accountancy, wealth management, insurance, and legal sectors — cold and warm calls, email, LinkedIn
- Attending industry networking events, conferences, and client meetings across the UK
- Managing the full transaction process from first conversation to completion
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with business owners and acquirers
- Screening clients, interpreting financial information, and advising on deal structures
- Participating in rigorous ongoing training and sector development work
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
