SJC Partners have been asked to manage a search for an ambitious board level or M&A / Corporate Development professional in the Testing, Inspection, Certification & Compliance (TICC) sector who wants to take the next step beyond executing acquisitions and build a platform of their own with the backing of a leading buy and build private equity firm.
This private equity investor is looking to back an exceptional individual to build and lead a TICC buy-and-build platform, with significant capital available for acquisitions.

The Ideal Profile
The ideal profile is someone who:
- Has operated at board level or as a senior M&A or Corporate Development professional within a TICC business
- Has executed multiple acquisitions
- Has a strong understanding of the fragmented TICC market and, importantly, relationships with potential acquisition targets
- Has built relationships with founders and owner-managers
- Has seen first-hand how much value can be created by building a successful buy-and-build
- Is now thinking seriously about a move to leading a platform
- Has the ambition to become the CEO / founder of the group they create
- Could be based in the UK or continental Europe
