Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Curious about finance, M&A or business. Working towards or with a degree, is one route but work, projects and life experience all count. If you haven’t had the chance to go to university, please apply.
  • Comfortable with research and data work, and able to work methodically through databases and spreadsheets.
  • Interested in information, media and events businesses, even without prior sector knowledge.
  • A confident communicator who is happy to ask questions and contribute in team discussions.
  • Organised and reliable, able to manage a project alongside ad hoc requests from the team.
  • Keen to take on real responsibility on live deals.

We particularly welcome applications from candidates who may be the first in their family to work in a professional or financial services environment, who did not attend a Russell Group university, or who are coming to M&A by a non-traditional route. If you don’t tick every box but think you’d thrive here, please apply.
