Partner or Director – Consumer Sector M&A Advisory
About the Company
Join a highly respected boutique investment bank, known for its deep expertise in the UK Consumer sector. The firm partners with blue-chip clients and delivers exceptional results on small to mid-sized transactions, with a strong emphasis on sell-side mandates. Exceptional growth and a focus on succession planning mean the team is now looking to appoint a new senior leader—either as a direct-entry Partner or a Director on the path to Partnership.
The Opportunity
As a key member of the senior team, you will:
- Drive deal origination, leveraging your network to generate both buy- and sell-side mandates.
- Oversee rigorous, efficient execution, engaging fully throughout each transaction process.
- Lead business development efforts, deepening the firm’s presence and reputation in the Consumer sector.
- Develop and empower a high-performing team, coaching colleagues and building delivery capability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries, advisors, and blue-chip clients.
- Play a central role in firmwide decision-making, shaping the team’s direction and ongoing success.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong academic background (ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent).
- Significant M&A advisory experience in investment banking, Big 4, private equity, a boutique, or corporate development.
- A sector background in Consumer, or potentially in Packaging, Chemicals, or Retail.
- A demonstrable track record in originating and executing successful M&A mandates.
- Outstanding analytical, strategic, and financial modelling skills.
- Extensive end-to-end transactional experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, with confidence and gravitas at all levels.
- Proven success in building and mentoring high-calibre teams.
- Ambition, drive, and a results-focused mindset.
- A personable, credible approach that earns trust from clients and colleagues.
