M&A Senior Analyst – FIG Sector (London)

Mid-market investment bank | 2–3 years’ M&A experience | Financial Services / Fintech

The Firm

Our client is a leading mid-market investment bank operating across the UK and Europe, providing high-profile strategic corporate finance advice to clients within the Financial Services and Fintech sector.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Analyst to join a growing, high-performing team with a strong pipeline of deals. You’ll work with high-profile clients and gain wide-ranging deal experience to build a successful career in FIG M&A.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of mid-market M&A execution experience from an investment bank, boutique advisory firm, or Big 4 M&A / Corporate Finance team (with at least 2 years of live deal experience).

You’ll be at the heart of the deal process — originating, analysing, and executing transactions rather than working from the sidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and own financial models; lead valuation and marketing materials for live mandates
  • Prepare initial valuations, marketing materials (corporate presentations, IMs, teasers), and coordinate Q&A and bid processes
  • Contribute to ongoing mandates: update valuation and merger models, compile corporate presentations and IMs
  • Prepare marketing documents for business opportunities (buy-side, sell-side, strategic reviews, etc.)

Person Specification

  • 2–3 years of Investment Banking M&A experience from an investment bank or boutique advisory firm, OR Big 4 M&A / Corporate Finance with a minimum of 2 years’ deal experience
  • Financial Services or Fintech sector experience is essential
  • Outstanding academics; minimum 2:1 from a leading Red Brick university
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion
  • High standard of accuracy and strong mathematical skills
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
