Investment Banking Senior Associate / Vice President (M&A) – London

About the Role

Our client, an elite M&A Boutique with a well-established European advisory platform, is looking to hire an Senior Associate / VP to join its M&A team in London. This opportunity is particularly suited to professionals with a strong track record of executing live M&A transactions, ideally with experience across the Tech sector. The successful candidate will gain exposure to high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions while working closely with senior bankers, corporate clients and private equity investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute domestic and cross-border buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions from origination through closing
  • Build and review complex financial models, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analyses
  • Prepare pitch books, teasers, information memoranda, management presentations and other transaction materials
  • Coordinate due diligence processes and workstreams alongside clients and external advisers
  • Work closely with senior bankers, corporate clients and private equity investors throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Support business development initiatives, sector coverage and the development of client relationships

Requirements

  • Approximately 4–7 years of relevant M&A experience gained within Investment Banking, M&A Advisory or Corporate Finance
  • Proven experience executing live buy-side and/or sell-side M&A transactions
  • Strong exposure to the Tech sector; experience in adjacent sectors may also be considered
  • Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO
  • Strong analytical, commercial and communication skills
  • Ability to take ownership of transaction workstreams and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Native or fluent English is essential, other European languages are advantageous
