Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Importantly, this growth is backed by work already secured. The team has a strong transaction pipeline and is investing in additional capability as it substantially expands its M&A tax offering.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead day-to-day tax workstreams across transactions, taking projects from initial engagement through to completion.
  • Deliver high-quality due diligence and tax advisory work across acquisitions, disposals, pre-sale restructuring and post-deal projects.
  • Advise clients and transaction stakeholders, turning complex UK tax issues into clear, commercially relevant recommendations.
  • Develop junior colleagues through delegation and hands-on coaching while drawing on internal tax specialists where required.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven UK transaction tax experience gained within practice, across advisory, due diligence or both.
  • CTA qualification, ideally alongside ACA or ACCA, with strong UK tax technical knowledge.
  • Experience delivering high-quality work within transaction-driven timescales and communicating with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ambition to expand your expertise across the wider transaction tax landscape.

Who this suits

You’re an M&A tax professional ready for broader deal exposure and greater visibility with senior leadership. You want to follow transactions from start to finish, rather than own one narrow element, and you’re looking for the autonomy to develop your expertise without being expected to already know every area of tax.

You’ll be joining at a point where the work is already there, but the team is still growing - creating genuine scope to increase your responsibility and profile as the M&A tax offering expands.
