M&A Technology Transformation Lead – Principal / Director

UK | Hybrid
Contract | Inside IR35 - £750 - £850 per day

Senior Interim / Transformation Assignment

We’re looking for a Principal / Director-level Infrastructure, Cloud & Cyber leader to play a key role in a complex M&A integration / separation programme.

This is a senior contract opportunity for someone who can operate credibly with C-suite executives, advisors and Private Equity stakeholders, make confident architecture decisions and move quickly from incomplete diligence information to pragmatic designs and executable plans.

The Role

You’ll lead the technology infrastructure workstream across complex transformation activity, with responsibility for:

  • Infrastructure separation, consolidation and M&A integration
  • Infrastructure and hosting strategy
  • Azure, AWS and/or GCP architecture and migration
  • Microsoft 365, identity, workplace and network integration
  • Day 1 readiness and managed-service transition
  • Architecture decisions and technology roadmaps
  • Executive, advisor and PE stakeholder engagement
  • Turning diligence findings into practical, deliverable integration plans

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Cybersecurity experience is highly advantageous, although there is scope to supplement the role with a dedicated senior Security Lead.

Experience across facilities management, building services or field services would be beneficial, but sector experience is less important than seniority, M&A experience and architecture leadership.

Why This Opportunity?

This is not a BAU infrastructure role. It’s a high-impact transformation assignment where you’ll be expected to provide senior technical leadership, influence major decisions and help shape the technology landscape through a significant M&A event.
