Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related scientific discipline. Strong programming skills are essential, with proficiency in Python and C++ being highly desirable. Candidates should have hands-on experience in developing machine learning models within a scientific or quantitative research setting. A solid understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and algorithm development is required. Experience with financial markets, investment strategies, or quantitative trading will be considered an advantage. The ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is also important.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced machine learning models tailored to quantitative research and trading strategies across multiple asset classes, including equities and commodities.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts, data scientists, and traders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Conduct rigorous data analysis, feature engineering, and model validation to ensure the robustness and accuracy of developed models.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and financial technology, integrating new techniques into existing workflows.
- Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and internal presentations to share knowledge and showcase innovations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of research methodologies, tools, and processes within the team.
- Assist in the documentation of models and processes to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and compliance.
- Support the deployment and monitoring of machine learning solutions in live trading environments, ensuring optimal performance and risk management.
