Occer Ltd | Remote | Independent Contractor

Occer is an early-stage AI SaaS company building a business performance platform for SMEs. Our platform uses business data to measure KPIs, forecast outcomes, identify opportunities and provide actionable insights.

We are looking for an ML/AI Engineer to help build the core analytical systems behind the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop KPI and business analytics systems
  • Build forecasting and predictive models
  • Develop propensity scoring and anomaly detection models
  • Work with structured business datasets
  • Build and integrate ML APIs with the main application
  • Help integrate LLM-based functionality where appropriate
  • Work closely with our Full-Stack Engineer to develop the product

Requirements

  • Strong Python skills
  • Understanding of machine learning and predictive modelling
  • Experience with libraries such as scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy or XGBoost
  • Understanding of model evaluation and validation
  • Ability to build practical ML solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and independent working skills

Final-year students, recent graduates and early-career candidates with strong ML/AI projects are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

This is an independent contractor opportunity with a revenue-contingent compensation structure rather than a conventional salaried position.

Compensation will be based on a pre-agreed formula tied to qualifying revenue generated by Occer, with full terms provided in the contractor agreement. There is no guaranteed fixed salary under the initial arrangement.

Successful contributors may have the opportunity to transition into permanent paid positions as Occer reaches sustainable recurring revenue
