About The Role

We are seeking an independent, dedicated Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our Visual Computing Group (VCG). In this role, you will contribute to pioneering advancements in game play and live streaming through innovative research and development. The VCG’s mission is to design and deploy advanced neural networks and machine learning models for game rendering and streaming systems that surpass current industry standards in runtime efficiency, visual quality, and latency. You will be instrumental in developing core generative models for graphics and video processing, exploring new methods for graphics enhancement, and creating data generation pipelines using generative models. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of gaming technology, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to push the boundaries of visual computing and interactive entertainment.

Qualifications

  • PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in the domain
  • 7+ years of demonstrable research experience in industry or academia
  • Proficiency in TensorFlow or PyTorch frameworks
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in computer vision or graphics libraries and packages
  • Evidence of developing advanced applications in image/video/graphics processing or computer vision
  • Published research in top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, or similar
  • Solid understanding of neural network architectures, including loss functions, convolutional, recurrent, transformer-based, or diffusion-based models
  • Experience with training, validation, and evaluation of deep neural networks on large datasets using tools like HDF5 or similar

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance core generative models for graphics and video processing applicable to live streaming and game rendering
  • Research and prototype new methods for graphics or video enhancement and data generation pipelines derived from generative models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to draft research publications and patent applications
  • Participate in core research and development initiatives, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of neural network architectures and training methodologies
  • Engage in peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship within the team
