Machine Learning Engineer – LLMs
Want to build LLM-powered systems that have to work reliably in the real world?
We’re looking for an exceptional Machine Learning Engineer to help build and deploy production-grade AI systems, with a particular focus on LLMs and modern generative AI.
This isn’t a research-only role. You’ll work across models, data, evaluation and production systems - turning the latest advances in AI into reliable, high-impact products.
What you’ll do
- Build and ship LLM-powered features and systems into production
- Design robust evaluation frameworks to measure and improve model performance
- Experiment with prompting, fine-tuning, retrieval and agentic approaches
- Build data and ML pipelines that support rapid experimentation at scale
- Optimise models and inference for latency, reliability and cost
- Work closely with software, product and domain experts to solve difficult real-world problems
- Help shape the company’s ML architecture, tooling and technical direction

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
