About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end development and deployment of machine learning solutions that address complex business challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders, to design, experiment, and implement models that deliver tangible value. This position offers an exciting opportunity to operate with a high degree of autonomy, shaping innovative solutions from first principles and contributing to high-impact projects within a supportive and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied mathematics, statistics, and scientific practices, with proven experience in deploying ML models in production settings.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience operating at a senior practitioner level as a Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer, or an equivalent role. A solid foundation in applied mathematics, statistics, and scientific thinking is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent Python programming skills for building, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models. Experience in evaluating models through structured experimentation and quantitative evidence is required. Strong software engineering practices are crucial, with an emphasis on producing readable, testable, and maintainable code. Additionally, experience in integrating machine learning solutions into production systems and workflows is highly desirable. Candidates should also feel confident working within secure, regulated, or high-assurance environments, understanding the importance of security, compliance, and governance constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of machine learning solutions, including problem definition, experimentation, evaluation, and iteration.
  • Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models into production environments, ensuring robustness and scalability.
  • Apply statistical, mathematical, and scientific thinking to formulate hypotheses and assess model uncertainty.
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate model behavior, performance, and impact on users.
  • Work with real, often imperfect, data sourced from operational systems and workflows.
  • Integrate machine learning components seamlessly into broader software and data platforms.
  • Balance rigor with pragmatism to deliver solutions that are proportionate, effective, and aligned with business needs.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating understanding and buy-in.
  • Engage in technical reviews, design discussions, and peer challenge to uphold high standards and foster continuous improvement.
