Your expertise will bridge cutting-edge AI research with production-grade engineering, directly impacting key business metrics such as user engagement and booking conversion rates. You will lead initiatives to design innovative recommendation and ranking models, oversee scalable system architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize multi-objective outcomes. Additionally, you will mentor senior scientists, foster a culture of technical excellence, and drive the adoption of best practices in MLOps, data privacy, and code quality. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of travel discovery through state-of-the-art AI systems, working in a fast-paced, innovative environment that values diversity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a highly quantitative field
  • 8+ years of industry experience developing and deploying large-scale machine learning models in a production environment
  • Proven track record of shipping systems at the scale of millions of active users
  • Deep theoretical and practical knowledge in state-of-the-art retrieval and ranking techniques, including Multi-Task Learning (MTL), Multi-gate Mixture-of-Experts (MMoE), and multi-objective optimization
  • Experience building sequential recommendation systems that capture user session dynamics and long-term preferences
  • Expertise in advanced representation learning, embedding generation, and multi-modal data integration
  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark and Ray
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS or GCP
  • Hands-on experience applying Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), knowledge graphs, or graph embeddings in complex relational modeling
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI, LLM-driven reasoning, and autonomous planning agents
  • Experience in E-commerce, Travel Tech, or Two-Sided Marketplaces handling non-linear user journeys and constrained inventories
  • Outstanding academic or industry contributions, including publications in top-tier AI/IR conferences (e.g., SIGIR, KDD, NeurIPS) or open-source projects

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
