Data Science Specialist

Type: Contractor

Compensation: $150–$350/hour

Location: Remote (United States, United Kingdom, Canada)

About the Opportunity

A leading AI-focused organization is seeking experienced Data Science Specialists to contribute their expertise to projects focused on executive presentations, analytics reporting, and data-driven business communication. In this role, you will apply your knowledge of data analysis, statistical reasoning, data visualization, and executive storytelling to help improve and evaluate next-generation AI systems.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong experience in analytics, business intelligence, consulting, data science, reporting, or executive presentation development. You will work on transforming complex datasets into clear, impactful insights while helping ensure AI-generated reports and presentations meet professional standards.

The work is fully remote, flexible, and focused on real-world business and analytical challenges. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconstruct, redesign, and enhance executive-level presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Create compelling data visualizations that communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Transform analytical findings into business-focused narratives and actionable insights.
  • Review and refine presentation content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and visual quality.
  • Apply statistical reasoning and data analysis techniques to interpret datasets and support recommendations.
  • Develop reports summarizing trends, findings, risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
  • Evaluate AI-generated presentations, reports, and analytical content for quality and effectiveness.
  • Ensure presentations align with best practices in executive communication, storytelling, and visual design.
  • Provide structured feedback and recommendations to improve analytical and presentation outputs.
  • Collaborate with project teams through iterative review and improvement cycles.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong professional experience in Data Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Consulting, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and presentation development.
  • Experience creating executive presentations, dashboards, reports, or analytical deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and visual storytelling techniques.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent written communication and content-editing skills.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert-level PowerPoint skills with experience in slide reconstruction and executive presentation design.
  • Background in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience creating analytics reports and executive-facing presentations.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools and reporting platforms.
  • Consulting, strategy, or business advisory experience.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert complex data into clear business insights.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative project environments.
