Machine Minder (Double Day Shift)

Humdinger, Heckington
Are you looking for a long-term career in food manufacturing where you can learn new skills and develop your technical knowledge? This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing food production team where you'll receive tailored 1-to-1 training and build a clear progression pathway within the business.

Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 (Rotating Weekly)
Pay Range
- Grade 1: £13.75 (Starting rate)
- Grade 2: £14.87
- Grade 3: £16.06
Breaks
2 x paid 20 minute breaks per shift
Closing Date

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Vertical Form Fill & Sea (VFFS) bagging machines and multi-head weighing/dispensing machines to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Ensure products meet quality standards every time.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and work with Engineering for repairs when needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise performance.
- Follow strict hygiene and safety practices (GHP/GMP).
- Accurately record downtime, losses, and operational issues.

Qualifications
- Direct experience operating VFFS bagging machines and multi-head weighing/dispensing machinery in an FMCG factory setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Good knowledge of check weighers & X-Ray machines.
