Job Title: Machine Production Operative

Location: York

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (flexible start/finish times)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Machine Production Operative to join a successful and growing organisation based in York. Working within a modern facility, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, accurately and to the highest quality standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing, machine operation, assembly, or a hands-on production environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a supportive and forward-thinking business.

Responsibilities Of Machine Production Operative

  • Set up and operate production machinery in line with company procedures
  • Carry out equipment checks and ensure machinery is ready for production
  • Follow production schedules and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Complete quality checks and visual inspections to ensure standards are maintained
  • Accurately complete production records and documentation
  • Identify and report any issues affecting quality, efficiency, or production output
  • Ensure materials are handled correctly to minimise waste
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised working environment
  • Support continuous improvement activities and suggest process improvements
  • Work closely with colleagues and team leaders to meet production requirements

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, or machine operating environment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and consistently
  • Good manual dexterity and the ability to work with precision
  • A practical and technical mindset with a willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to follow processes and instructions carefully
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities
