Machine Operative

Are you an experienced Machine Operative with CNC, woodworking or similar machine experience looking for a permanent opportunity with a leading manufacturer?
Location: Normanton, WF6
Pay: Hourly rate to be confirmed DOE
Plus £1.00 per hour shift premium for the fixed 2:00pm - 10:00pm shift

Must Haves
- Previous machine operating experience within manufacturing
- CNC, woodworking or similar machinery experience welcomed
- Good attention to detail and quality
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Reliable with a positive, hands-on attitude
Hours
- Fixed Early Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm
- OR
- Fixed Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm (+£1.00 per hour shift premium)

Due to continued growth across three successful business areas, our client is looking to add experienced Machine Operatives to their established manufacturing team.
Working from a modern, purpose-built facility, you'll be responsible for operating production machinery safely and efficiently while ensuring products are manufactured to the required quality standards.
If you're an experienced Machine Operative with transferable skills from CNC, woodworking or another machinery-based environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating production machinery
- Loading materials and components into machines
- Monitoring machinery throughout the production process
- Making permitted machine adjustments when required
- Working from job sheets and production specifications
- Carrying out quality checks and measurements
- Identifying and reporting machine faults or quality issues
- Working efficiently to achieve production targets
- Keeping machinery and work areas clean, safe and organised
- Following all site health and safety procedures

Essential Qualifications/Skills
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment
- CNC, woodworking or similar machine experience is highly relevant
- Good mechanical awareness and confidence around machinery
- Ability to follow instructions and production specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team
