Machine/Process Operative - Nights

Are you looking for a long-term career in food manufacturing where you can learn new skills and develop your technical knowledge?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing food production team where you'll receive tailored 1-to-1 training, gain experience operating production equipment, and build a clear progression pathway within the business.
Shift Pattern
- 3 on, 4 off covering Monday-Saturday (Blocks of Monday-Wednesday for 4 weeks followed by Thursday-Saturday for 4 weeks)
- 12-hour shifts, 1800 - 0600
Breaks
- 3 x paid 20 minutes
Pay Rate
- Depending on skills and experience
- Tier 1 £16.14
- Tier 2 £16.69
- Tier 3 £17.23

Role Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated processing machinery.
- Deliver production plans safely, accurately and efficiently.
- Complete production records using touchscreens and iPads
- Support product quality through a right-first-time approach.
- Identify and report safety, quality or performance issues.
- Carry out manual handling activities, including lifting up to 25kg
- Work independently while supporting wider production targets
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping
- Work flexibly across processing areas to support operational needs.

Essential Requirements
- Experience within a food manufacturing environment
- Experience working in production, packing, or picker/packer roles within food manufacturing
- Comfortable with manual handling and lifting up to 25kg
- Able to use touchscreen technology, iPads, or basic IT systems
- Organised and able to work independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Good oral communication skills are required
Desirable Requirements
- Experience operating manufacturing machinery
- An understanding of food safety - prior training such as Food Safety Level 2 will be beneficial, however, you will also receive this training via Humdinger
- Clear progression pathway to higher-grade roles
- Tailored 1-to-1 training and development
