Machine Operative

Looking for a hands-on Machine Operative role where you can learn new skills, develop your experience and increase your earning potential? 🔧

📍 Location: Leeds, LS10

💷 Pay: £12.71 per hour

Must Haves:

  • ✔️ Previous experience within manufacturing, production or a similar hands-on environment
  • ✔️ Comfortable working with machinery and production equipment
  • ✔️ Good attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • ✔️ Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • ✔️ A positive attitude and excellent work ethic

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday – 8:00am to 4:30pm
  • Friday – 8:00am to 3:30pm

We're recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a growing manufacturer in the Hunslet area of Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with general manufacturing or production experience who wants to develop their machine operating skills.

You don't need to be an experienced Wood Machinist for this position. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Machine Operative who is keen to learn, takes pride in their work and wants the opportunity to progress.

You'll receive training to help you develop your skills, with the opportunity to increase your earnings as your experience grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 🔧 Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
  • 🔧 Loading materials and components into machinery
  • 🔧 Following job sheets and production specifications
  • 🔧 Monitoring machines during production and making permitted adjustments
  • 🔧 Carrying out quality checks on finished components
  • 🔧 Identifying and reporting machine faults or production issues
  • 🔧 Completing basic routine machine care where appropriate
  • 🔧 Working towards production and quality targets
  • 🔧 Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
