Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Machine Operator role located in Stevenage. The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor polyester film converting machinery according to production schedules and work instructions. Daily tasks include loading and unloading materials, adjusting machine settings, and performing basic maintenance checks to ensure safe and efficient operation. The role involves inspecting output for defects, measuring materials against specifications, and recording production data for quality and traceability. The Machine Operator will collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to report issues, follow health and safety procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement in the production process.

- Candidates should possess skills in Machine Operation and working with industrial Machinery.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control, including visual inspection and measurement against specifications.
- Candidates should possess skills in using Hand Tools for adjustments, minor maintenance, and material handling.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for reporting issues, following instructions, and working within a team.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or a similar production environment is beneficial.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, stand for extended periods, and handle manual tasks is required.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading job sheets and recording production data are important.
- A relevant vocational qualification or training in machine operation or industrial engineering is an advantage.
