Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join their dynamic team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment focused on manufacturing a wide variety of aircraft interiors products. Summary
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months with potential for extension and being made permanent!
- Location: Leighton Buzzard
- Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour
- Hours: 39 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 16:00
- Friday: 07:00 to 12:00
Key Responsibilities
As a Machine Operator, your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Adhering to all health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and excellence in your work.
- Running batches on CNC machines, including milling, turning, and 5-axis operations.
- Performing part identification to ensure the traceability of all components and assembled parts.
- Documenting work processes to support production schedules efficiently.
- Using computer systems to record completed work accurately.
- Packaging finished goods in compliance with industry standards for various transport methods.
- Contributing to the achievement of business delivery and quality targets.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Being open to cross-training in other relevant skills as needed by the organisation.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A solid background in engineering and operation of CNC machines.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software.
- A solid understanding of safe working practises.
