Packing Line Operator – ASR Group (Tate & Lyle Sugars)
About The Role
The ASR Group is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, producing over 6 million tons annually. Operating across North America, Europe, Mexico, and Belize, the company manufactures grocery, industrial, food service, and specialty sweetener products under brands such as Domino®, C&H®, Redpath®, Tate & Lyle®, Lyle’s®, and Sidul®.
This Packing Line Operator role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-performance operation of production equipment while meeting customer requirements and maintaining Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets. This position operates in a rotating shift basis from Monday to Friday.
Shift Pattern: Week 1 – Week 3 Cycle (Repeating)

Week 1:
- 3 day shifts – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Week 2:
- 3 night shifts – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Week 3:
- 2 day shifts – Monday, Tuesday
- 2 night shifts – Thursday, Friday
(Sequence repeats monthly)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate packing line(s) and associated machinery while adhering to:
- Health & safety, quality, hygiene, and output standards
- Conduct required quality checks and compare results against specified parameters
- Adjust processes as needed to maintain agreed standards and specifications
- Utilise FLT systems to furnish equipment with packaging materials

Problem-solving & continuous improvement:
- Anticipate and troubleshoot issues using proven CI tools
- Monitor line performance, record data, and implement corrective actions where necessary

Communicate effectively:
- Provide clear handover information to colleagues in both Operators and Maintenance Teams

Collaborate on continuous improvement projects
Required Competencies
✅ Operational experience – Proven skills in operating packing or production machinery in a manufacturing environment
✅ IT & data proficiency – Proficiency in keyboard input, software navigation, and quality data recording
✅ Clear communication – Ability to verbally and in writing accurately describe operational issues, causes, and solutions
