Employing a wealth of technical knowledge and experience we are creating a reputation throughout the industry as the go to place for everything plastic component related. We supply automotive, pharmaceutical and electrical industries with small complex moulded parts.

DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY

Miles Platts Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Injection Moulding / Insertion team, a vital part of our manufacturing operation. You will be responsible for operating a range of injection moulding machines producing high-quality plastic components, alongside supporting insertion, packing and finishing processes to meet customer quality and production standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and monitor a variety of injection moulding machines producing precision plastic components.
  • Carry out routine quality checks to ensure moulded parts meet specification.
  • Pack, inspect and assemble moulded products ready for dispatch.
  • Support insertion moulding and secondary operations as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Follow production instructions and health & safety procedures at all times.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Previous experience in injection moulding, plastics manufacturing or machine operation would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and use of initiative.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new machinery and processes.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Good understanding of health and safety.
  • Good general maths skills.
  • Comfortable with manual handling of bags and boxes up to 15 kg.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Minimum achieved Grade 5 - GCSE or above or equivalent in English and Maths. You must be fluent in English as you will need to communicate with other team members and staff to plan the day.

TRAINING PROVIDED

On the job training with Miles Platts Ltd will be provided by ourselves so as long as you’re keen, accurate and conscientious we will show you the rest.

HOLIDAY AND PAY

Hours are 3pm to 11pm Mon – Thurs, 1.30pm to 8pm Friday. We offer £12.71 per hour (£25,445 Pa)+shift premium, plus a generous bonus scheme, 25 days holiday, pension, free tea and coffee, shopping discount scheme and other benefits.
