Machine Operator

We're looking for a Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team at GESIPA in Keighley, Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, takes pride in producing high-quality products, and is keen to develop their technical skills.
Your Tasks
As a Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating production machinery to manufacture products that meet quality and customer requirements. You'll work closely with colleagues across production, quality, and technical teams to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up machines using the correct tooling
- Operating production equipment safely and efficiently
- Reading and interpreting production drawings and works orders
- Selecting the correct materials for production runs
- Carrying out quality inspections and measurements
- Ensuring products meet exact specifications
- Troubleshooting issues and supporting continuous improvement
- Working collaboratively with Quality and Technical teams
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety
Your Profile
More important than specific industry experience is the right attitude.
You'll be someone who:
- Has a strong mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with machinery
- Is naturally curious and enjoys learning new processes and skills
- Likes solving problems and figuring out how things work
- Takes pride in producing quality work
- Has a keen eye for detail
- Can work independently while also contributing to a team
- Is flexible and willing to work rotating shift patterns, including nights
- Communicates effectively and takes ownership of their work

Experience That Would Be Beneficial
- Previous manufacturing or production experience
- Experience setting or operating machinery
- Understanding of engineering or production drawings
- Experience in cold forming or similar manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with measuring equipment and quality checks
